Lumos Migration was founded by Benjamin Purnell, a former Australian Department of Immigration Officer (currently known as the Department of Home Affairs) and Registered Migration Agent (RMA) after gaining many years of experience in both government and private sectors. The Australian government has passed legislation the Deregulation Bill which will allows any Australian lawyer with a practising certificate to be able to provide migration advice. This means an Australian Lawyer with NO experience in Migration Law can advise and provide immigration assistance without any specialised knowledge nor experience in this area of law. Scary, isn't it?

 Registered Migration Agents are governed by the Migration Agents Registration Authority in Australia. Agents cannot operate or be licenced to operate without complying with the Code of Conduct provided for under section 314 of the Migration Act 1958.

The Code of Conduct is intended to regulate the conduct of Registered Migration Agents. We are obligated to comply with the Code of Conduct in all matters relating to ethics, confidentiality, quality and compliance with our customers.
